She is the founder of Lux Dermatology Hair & Skin Institute in Tampa, Florida — a boutique dermatology practice specializing in medical dermatology, hair restoration, and aesthetic skin treatments.
Dr. Barbulescu provides expert diagnosis and treatment for conditions such as alopecia, acne, eczema, psoriasis, pigmentary disorders, and skin aging. Her approach blends academic-level expertise with an individualized, luxury patient experience.
Education & Training
Dr. Barbulescu earned her medical degree from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. She completed a two-year clinical and research fellowship in immunodermatology pertaining to hair disease at the University of Colorado, followed by her dermatology residency at the same institution.
During her fellowship, she focused extensively on emerging regenerative treatments for hair loss. Her research has been presented at national and international dermatology conferences, reflecting her commitment to advancing the field of medical and regenerative dermatology through evidence-based innovation.
